1947
With a used Studebaker pickup and $1500 worth of tires purchased on
credit, T.O. Haas opens his first store in Lincoln, Nebraska. With a
business philosophy to provide quality products with dependable
service and affordable prices, T.O. would canvass the city during the
day, calling on commercial accounts. He would then make the
necessary repairs to tires in the evening while his wife Terry kept the books.

By sub-letting part of the building to two other business owners and
sharing the utilities, T.O. Haas Tire was operating in the black by the
end of the first month of business.

1949
T.O. Haas opens his first retread facility which led to a 3000 percent
increase in his purchases from O.K. Rubberwelders. This increase
earned him the position of OK Rubber Welders District Representative
for Nebraska and Northern Kansas.

1951
T.O. Haas purchased land on West O Street in Lincoln and erected this
quonset building to house the business. During the ensuing years, the
building saw many additions and renovations. The original building
can still be seen on the far right of the lower photo taken in 1956.

1984

headquartered just 50 miles south of Lincoln in
Beatrice, Nebraska. This purchase increased the
number of retail outlets to nine stores in three cities.
